A Day to be Grateful
by Teresa Jackson on April 27th, 2020

Today is a good day to be grateful. Good things are happening all around you. Even during a pandemic, couples fall in love, babies are born, flowers bloom, and the sun still rises. On the other hand, utility bills and rent come due, the pantry needs restocking, and the tank needs filling. Being ever hopeful, I remind myself there is a solution for every problem. Hope is there waiting to be found. For some, hope is restored after a visit to Sharing Life. I am grateful we can help carry some of the weight of despair and fear felt by people who have lost income due to the pandemic. I am grateful for the people who have sewn masks for the Sharing Life team. I am grateful for the people who are donating food. I am grateful for the individuals, corporations, and foundations who are providing financial gifts. I am grateful for the volunteers and staff who serve so willingly. I am grateful to LakePointe Church for the large facility that allows us to serve thousands of people each week during this time of extraordinary need. I am grateful that God placed you in our lives to help us share life with those that need hope most. Sometimes hope looks like a box of groceries, a rent check, or a “paid in full” notice from the utility company. Thank you. I am grateful for you. You are the reason we can offer these services and inspire hope.
“I thank my God every time I remember you.” Phil. 1:3
